An Evening of Richard Strauss with The Albany Symphony Orchestra, Denes Striny conducting. This concert featured the ASO in Tod und Verklärung, Carolyn James, Soprano, Amy Schroeder, Soprano, and Alexandra Hughes, Mezzo-Soprano  in the trio from Der Rosenkavalier, and the final scene from Salome. A sumptuous banquet of late romantic treats!

Alexandra made her first appearance with the The Paris Chorale Society as Alto Soloist in one of the last works of Rossini, which he called " Sins of My Old Age ".

In this exciting new festival in the Berkshire Mountains, Alexandra sang the role of Fricka in Die Walküre in the Gala Opening Night.

The well-known French television  personality (France 3), Patrick de Carolis, starts a new festival in the medieval village of Rocamadour.  Alexandra was invited as the Alto Soloist with the Paris Chorale Society in Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.

On this exquisite island made famous by Monet, Alexandra performed in dramatic venues which included old fortresses, caves, cliffs, and a chateau. Highlights of the two week-festival  included chamber music, arias, and love duets.
